One Year Yeshiva Program

Machon L’Yahadus offers a core curriculum that includes textual studies, skills classes and traditional one-on-one (chevrusa-style) learning as well as lectures and workshops. By the end of the first year, a full-time student will have mastered the basics of Jewish life, Jewish law and Jewish living. She will be familiar with traditional Jewish literature, specifically Torah, Prophets, Shulchan Aruch (Code of Jewish Law) and Talmud, as well as the mystical teachings presented in Tanya and other works of Chabad philosophy. A special focus is placed on the thought and teachings of the Lubavitcher Rebbe.

Two Year Yeshiva Program

Students who complete two years at Machon L’Yahadus will be proficient in Hebrew Language, Jewish Law, Jewish Ethics, Chumash and commentaries, Prophets, Prayer and Chassidic Philosophy. They will be ready to be leading members of their respective Jewish communities and to build a Jewish home upon the foundation of Torah and Chassidic teachings.

Mechina Prep Program

“Mechina” means “preparation.” Staff members, most notably Mrs. Zeesy Piamenta, work with students for whom the beginners level classes are too advanced. Whether it is a student who arrives at the start of the semester but does not yet have the basic skills or knowledge base to fully understand the classes, or a student who joins Machon L’Yahadus a number of months into the year and needs help “catching up,” Mrs. Piamenta has the skills, knowledge, and experience to guide each student to a path of proficiency and confidence.
